An economic miracle is born in South Madison.
Genesis Development Corporation is a non-profit community development corporation dedicated to the revitalization of South Madison. Established in 1999, Genesis is committed to meeting the needs of economically disadvantaged communities by providing job training, health awareness programs, education programs, mental health and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) outpatient clinics, residential services and economic development.
Goals:
- Promote economic development opportunities for economically disadvantaged residents of South Madison.
- Promote the creation of new high earning potential jobs for economically disadvantaged residents in the South Madison area.
- Provide assistance to encourage business development with special emphasis on establishing business opportunities in high-tech, service, and info-tech industries.
- Develop and initiate a specific plan to support the mental health and AODA needs of minorities.
