Acceptance Criteria
We are looking for businesses that:
- produce a product or provide a service
- have reasonable potential for job creation
- have a good credit history
- have a business plan.
Retail and heavy manufacturing businesses do not quality.
The goal of our facility is to foster job creation and support economic development and revitalization in Madison’s South Side.
You should submit a copy of your business plan as part of the application package. The GEC management team is available to provide resources and referrals to agencies and organizations that can assist in the development of your business plan. Applications with well-written and thoroughly researched business plans with supporting financial data are more likely to be approved.
Application Process
To apply please submit an application (PDF or WORD format) with financial documentation and a copy of your business plan. Your application, financial data, and business plan are reviewed by the GEC Business Operations Committee. Applicants are invited to attend a Business Operations Committee meeting to talk about their company and answer questions. The Business Operations Committee makes all acceptance decisions.
All applications and business materials received are strictly confidential.
